The WordPress.com stats people prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog. It made interesting reading.
Here’s an excerpt:
A San Francisco cable car holds 60 people. This blog was viewed about 1,600 times in 2013. If it were a cable car, it would take about 27 trips to carry that many people.
I’m writing this blog to support my own clarity of thinking about leadership, as well as sharing practical tools on how to implement better leadership – so it’s good to know you share my interest.
For example, some of you searched for this blog using these terms:
- leadership priorities
- leadership development
- leadership setting the tone
- tools of practical leadership
Readers come from 78 countries in all – mainly the UK, which is where I’m based. Swiftly followed by the USA and Canada, but with India, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa not far behind. Yes, English speaking countries – but I know that many readers are using blogs like mine to improve their English – as well as their leadership skills.
I’ve just come from a coaching session with a business owner and we reviewed 2013, followed by defining what success in 2014 means for them. I encourage you to do the same – so that, when success occurs, you recognise and celebrate it for what it is – the fruits of your efforts.
My personal aim for 2014 is to help people develop emotionally-intelligent leadership skills and apply them in the workplace – for their own personal benefit; for the benefit of their team members, their organisation and the wider society in which they operate.
So I’d like to thank all of you for reading, commenting and contributing in 2013 – and I sincerely wish you a successful 2014 – whatever that means for you.
